Tasty Menus

Our fabulous cook is Ms. Ruth.  She has been with the center since day one with it's original owner.  Her breakfast, lunch and snack calendars are on the front counter for you to view at any time.  Please remember that no food from home is allowed (with the exception of classroom celebrations and in the case of food allergies with a doctor's note- please see the meals and snack section in the parent handbook).  Ms. Ruth also takes care of our book order program, soup labels for education and other fundraisers. 

  Hi there!!  My name is Ruth, and I have been an employee of Eatonville Childcare & Preschool since Shelley opened the door in September of 1998.  I am excited to see where Chris will lead our center as Eatonville Early Learning Center.  I do the ordering for all the programs we have going on right now, trying to make sure everyone has food.  I also cook all the meals we have, as I'm sure you all know.

          I was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas where I lived for 36 years of my life.  I moved to Washington State in May of 1991.  I met my husband in October of that year and we were married on May 1st of 1992.  So we have been married 15 years.  We have five children between us, ranging from the ages of 17 to 35.

        Before coming to the daycare I had no previous experience in the field.  I was a stay at home mom since 1992.  Before that I did waitress work, and some cooking on a small scale. So this has become quite a challenge for me since I cook for 50-60 people every day now.  But it is usually a lot of fun, especially when the kids come to me and tell me what a good "cooker" I am.
